LIVING WATER surfers on Nantucket Island this August!
Earlier this August a group of Living Water surfers made a last minute decision to pack boards into the Living Water van and embark on a surf adventure to Nantucket Island! The Living Water crew left at 4:00am and caught the 7:00am Hyannis ferry to Nantucket Island in order to compete at the 2013 Ozone Surf Classic on Nantucket island. The surf was thigh to shoulder high, wind waves from the SW, but kind of a Cape Cod feel to them, fun Summer waves!!! The group of Living Water surfers surfed well and made it through numerous rounds of heats all made it to the finals. At the end of the day Ed Barend, Maria Barend, Corren Moore, Ana Barend, and Chuck Barend all scored First or Second place in each respective age division! It was an exciting boating adventure, blessed with good surf, great weather, all were super stoked! A huge thank you goes out to the Kotalac family for hosting us so graciously, the Island of Nantucket, the great volunteers and generous business sponsors who make the event all that it is!!! 🙂
